Our Purpose:
To promote the rational use of drugs in society.
To advance the principles and practice of clinical pharmacy.
To promote the full-time, advanced practice of clinical pharmacy.
To provide an advanced level of educational programs in the area of clinical pharmacy and therapeutics.
To provide a forum for the expression of opinion on pharmacy practice, education, and research from the perspective of clinical pharmacists.
To support, promote, and advance the goals and objectives of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy as outlined in its constitution and bylaws.
To provide a local recruiting base for the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.

OUR EVENTS
GCCP hosts several educational and networking events throughout the year. All GCCP members are invited to attend. Be on the lookout for emails throughout the year with more information about these events!
RESIDENT RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM
Every year, St. Louis area residents are invited to present the background and methods of their residency research projects to GCCP members and other clinical pharmacists in the St. Louis area.

This event is held at St. Louis College of Pharmacy and serves as a venue for residents to get feedback regarding the design of their projects, with the goal that some of the feedback may be incorporated before going up for IRB approval at their various institutions.
Social Night!

Look no further than our social event, planned each fall and tailored to the requests of our members. Whether it is pickleball, happy hour, or Halloween-themed bingo, there's always fun to be had at our fall social event!
SCCP/GCCP Guideline Update
In the early fall, GCCP members are invited to attend the SCCP/GCCP Guideline Update – a noontime seminar updating you on all of the guideline changes over the past year.

Clinical pharmacists from the St. Louis area partner with fourth year pharmacy students to present on a wide variety of updated guidelines to bring everyone up to speed on the new changes.
Business Meeting and Elections
In December, GCCP holds its annual business meeting and elections. This meeting provides an update on the organization’s membership and finances. Dinner and drinks are served, followed by a report from the officers and elections.

Interested in running for an office? Contact one of the current officers for more information and watch for our call for nominations towards the end of November. Only dues paid GCCP members are eligible to run for office and vote.
